Ribbon Bath Towels

So here is my first project. My kids have falling apart towels that Colin and I used when we were first married. They do not match the bathroom so much so I decided to buy them some new towels (I know I am such an amazing mom right). I found these really nice fluffy towels at Walmart for $3.50 each! I was like heck yes, but they needed a little umph cause they were just plain off white and frankly quite boring. So I bought two spools of ribbon each costing about $2.50 but have 9 feet on them so they will be available for more projects in the future. I just pinned the ribbon down the nice straight line already provided for me (super nice right?) then just sewed them on with a simple straight stitch down each side of the ribbon. Hello so much cuter towels! What do you think? The before picture of the old falling apart towels that dont match. Keagan was waiting so patiently to get his teeth brushed :)
I just folded the ribbon over at the end so i wouldn't have fraying ribbon in the future (smart huh ;)
And finally the finished project cute right?

  1. very cute! and way to stay busy while Colin is gone. Staying busy is the only way I survive Chad's deployment.
